for me I just do that in shots that needs more color like green shots or sunset

just try that

taken today at about 3pm. Sun was shining, but not too much, clouds were out too. Curtain half open only, so daylight was not coming in fully. Note the mesh on slide door, pics it up well....

these are a couple of my first photos taken, took both on auto. What do people think of the quality? (i will play round with iso etc at a later date....)

My girlfriend went like- "ahhhh that's sooo cute", when she saw that cat
I fiddled with the ISO settting and when taking a shot indoors with very poor lightning. I set the ISO to 400 and there was a huge difference in the colours (a took a shot of two persons). The colour looked much more vivid and real then the shoot o took just before with auot settings. So once again- use the settings! I will try this with the ISO settings today and see if i can't get that, often present "white haze"that appears when shooting outdoors, dissapear.
