Those aren't huge at all... at least for Japanese standards.
If you can believe it, Sony Ericsson Japan is one of the "slower" companies bringing innovation in terms of phones for Japan.
Gatoblanco, do you mind posting your last post in the Japanese Phone thread... Keitai Corner?

The cybershot looks like a refurbished C905 with a horizontal cam cover.
indeed, and the speaker is moved to the top instead of the bottom of the phone
(bit vertical below the camera lense - and the lanyard hook looks like its on the top right corner now)
still nice.

I have to agree with clauf now, SE is indeed a slow technologically uninnovative company. they keep getting rid of using CCD on their japan phones (although Exmor is a really nice tech for cam phones but with thevery poor performance of SE camera engineers of tweeking the right post processing it ended up like a mere gimmick) - sharp is eating them alive both in display and camera quality. (i'm afraid their japanese SE UIs have been bettered as well) the main advantages of SE phones in japan have been thwarted long ago
but still i have high hopes for their future 12mp monster(after looking at the great sample crop provided by sony semiconductors) as well as their future android (maybe one of the Xperias) mobiles.

Forgetting what people want- SE NEED to get another Xperia out soon. One dissimilar to the X1, either in OS or specs or form factor or something. If they don't wow the market at all, they won't find a comfortable position easily.

@razec
CMOS is better than CCD. End of story.

I'm not against you but why do you say so?

Because they no longer suffer from noise and sampling artifacts. They did, say, three years ago. Besides, CMOS chips consume a lot less power than CCD chips do, and are significantly faster in everyday use.
