But reception issue aside i don't like the design either I have been a long standing lover of all Apple products (still am) but they got the IP4 completely wrong the 3G/3GS has a unique design and form factor which stands out from the crowd even without Apple logo you could easily tell it as the iphone now with the IP4 remove the logo and it could be just be another phone I thought partly why people bought Apple products was their design and wow factor?

I prefer the i4 to the 3GS it has far beta appeal... Everyone who seen mine say they really like it... I like the handset and it works for me... Thus far the death grip has not caused m any issues as I don't hold my phones that way...

Actually I agree to that. Not fair towards RIM. Maybe Nokia had it coming after their How do you hold your Nokia? post. Especially since they do warn owners against covering the antenna in all the users guides.

Having said that I can't find any of those pictures on the web Jobs was talking about with stickers saying 'don't touch here' on Nokia phones. I feel betrayed (*starts crying again*)

Well Apple is still behind RIM when it comes to worldwide sales. So yes they're going to target RIM which has been KNOWN to have incredible signal & voice quality in all their phones. They have a university stock full of engineers - Waterloo University is THE polytechnical higher education in Ontario, possibly the best in the country (I live just 112km away). That said RIM already picked a fight with Apple just 2mths ago with stating 4 BB's can use the same data bandwidth as just 1 iPhone; with 3BB's vs 1 other smartphone of any OS. I see this as an isolated issue with iPhone 4 - and I've used 9700 for months since December (no issues) and the ONLY other phone I know of with external antenna is the SE Z520 which still did NOT exhibit death grip.

Its about time Apple stepped up to the plate - and you better believe that its due to 3 pending lawsuits awaiting the go-ahead in the USA along with hurting sales. 1.7 million in 3days to 3million in 22days of iPhone 4 sales is a serious slow down ... you better believe its hitting Apple where it counts.

Does that stop ME from wanting one ... HELL KNOW! Its more about the infrastructure that appeals me to the iPhone vs just calls. I'm not forced to purchase it and at least I know now what I'm getting into.

The British Airways app has now been updated to V2 and can be used as a boarding pass (Mail Online article)

I've used the app for online checkin but this is an excellent new feature and I hope other airlines etc go totally paperless!
