which looks the best you think?
to me it looks like Z1 video and sound are the best with g2 coming in second. iphone 5 looks the worst to me.

Ok, it looks that Sony offers much more detailed rendition of the scene but we have to remember that it is using much bigger sensor and interpolates the picture to get the quality.
Compared to Z it's like night and day, no discussion.
Now if most people rate the S4 as the best android camera phone I'm eager to see comparisons between those two. Would be interesting to see the amount of details that Sony can get from full resolution compared to S4 and when using interpolated 8mpix.
All in all, quite impressive

randomuser, istn't Z1 shot a 8 mpix one? Z1's 20mpix don't look good at all. A coparison with G2 and S4 would be nice, but with full resolutin shots.
You can apply the same principle with 1020 and S4, at full res, 1020 shots are barely as clean as those as S4, but activate oversampling at 5MP PV mode and it's a different story. Z1 at 8mp mode looks a whole lot better than most of the droid competition since it applies pixel binning(not to be mistaken as the more advanced oversampling algorithm on the 808/1020) and it's better than an unbinned 13mp one. bring high ISO performance to the table and G2/S4 don't stand a chance to say at least
I don't know if you've seen the daylight samples on the previous pages in this thread but I don't think S4/G2's camera could even come close to the level of details the Z1 could produce, let alone dynamic range and control over chromatic aberration.

Well i must say, Z1 is giving a tough competition to Lumia. I like Z1 shots more than those of Lumia.

Phonearena always finds a way to make Sony look inferior. For Xperia Z I can accept that the camera is really inferior but this time, the Z1 definitely excels. It seems they just want to downplay Sony's efforts. After seeing many sample photos, I will really find it difficult to accept Phonearena's shootout results.
Biased sites try to fool the auto settings into using the wrong configuration by changing angles and waiting till the least favorable image comes out.

Well this shooutout is weird, Sony Z1 lags behind LG G2 and S4, but then, pictures taken with Z1 are too small, I can zoom more on HTC One which has 4MP than Z1 which is 20MP. Waiting for real comparison from GSMArena...
