Samsung will start production in 7nm process in late 2017. Mediatek make rubbish SoCs, they're niether powerful nor efficient.

^ yeah, NO.

Samsung's next node is 8nm not 7nm. LUL. 7nm will come even later. So wait for atleast 2 years.

Mediatek can make good SoC. P20 is a prime example it's very efficient and moderately powerful for mid range processor. They suck at gpu. That's why I said sony mobile should contract them to make a custom soc for them.

Now that I read anandtech article about the new ARM's cpu. My new dream configure is -
1 A75+ 3 A55 and 1 A75 + 3 A55 ( 8 core cpu configuration)

Much as I'd love that, I gotta ask how? Do they have chip designers on board now?

7nm is Samsung's next. 8nm and 6nm will follow and they will inherit all innovations from the latest 10nm and the 7nm technologies.

P20 is quite mediocre, it's not better than older Snapdragon 625 in any way. Mediatek won't make a custom SoC for a niche phone manufacturer.

There's news that Qualcomm and LG are working together for having Snapdragon 845 in LG's next flagship

Just got info partially confirms previously leaked info that sony will announce at IFA.

At IFA, they will announce 3 models, Xperia XZ1, XZ1 Compact, and XZ1 Ultra but Ultra is not 100% yet.

XZ1 & XZ1C release schedule will be similar to XZ & X Compact last year, but Ultra's release will be later, possibly end of year or beginning of 2018.

Ultra's size will be 6.2in

They all have S835, Ultra might have 4K display just like XZ premium but this is still tentative.
