As we know several of us have RidgeRacers and all have Japanese menus (to a certain extent). I think most is pretty simple but there may be some things people don't know such as saving replays and ghosts.
So here is a pic of my effort at the translations, hope someone finds it useful:
I'd be interested to know how accurate or inaccurate they are if anyone can actually read the Japanese
I know this was ages ago, but I just read it now... Do you guys realise that this is really just in English? Its just using Japanese characters!! (Aside from yes and no, which are "Hai" and "Iie")
If you just learn Katakana you should have no problems interpreting what it says. And Katakana is actually really easy to learn... (I did it in an hour or two...)

Perhaps you could comment on whether it is an accurate translation then

YYYYYAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
With many many thanks to our man in Japan, themarques, I finally have my PSP - after spending 3 days finding out exactly why Parcelforce are the WORST courier service the world has ever seen, I have, at long last, got my hands on it.
Now just have to count down the seconds till 6pm when I can go home and start playing with it, but in the meantime, I would just like to say...
...what a beautiful piece of work this baby is.
In terms of that feeling-when-you-open-the-box factor, it blows away my previous favourite toy (my P910i) - ooh the shiny black newness of it all....

you got that right. parcelforce are totally useless. I had a small VAT bill to pay for the import and their main number couldn't take the payment instead directing me to their office that was actually holding the parcel but they never ever answered their phone so 2 days later when I got back to UK I had to drive to the office and write a cheque!
with fedex its a simple matter of giving a credit card number over the phone and the package is delivered next day
anyway, glad you have it. hope you got some games too!

Got a question:
When do you pay import tax? Is it when they bring it to your door or if you go collect?
I thought I didn't have to pay it since the guy came to the door give me the PSP then left, this was about just under 2 months ago then I come in today and find I have a bill for £49.90.
Do they usually come in after this long and how fast do I need to pay it?
Thanks.
