even UIQ 3.0 can support flash IF they license it,...so, it can appear on UIQ 3.3 (and 3.0), or not...i think it will
and why they're not licensing it ?
Flash support now is very major feature in OSE phones, it can be used in very handfull and buty ways specially in wallpapers
sadly the UIQ can't even handle animated gif in wallpaper, well nothing animated can be used as wallpaper including svg, I hope UIQ 3.3 comes with a fix with this

Just a question for clarification...
Seems Paris will likely run UIQ 3.3. If i remember correctly from reading this thread, some users were expressing concern about UIQ 3.3 supporting flash lite?
Does it? I did a quick search on UIQ.com and had no results. So I won't be able to view flash content with Paris? I would think this is a major flaw... and I refuse to believe this until it's confirmed by an informed source.
I'm pretty much sure that uiq 3.3 will support flash lite because it has opera 9.5 pre installed. And one of the main new feature of Opera 9.5 is flash lite 3.
And if paris really is to be a high end smart-phone then it should at least have flash lite support.

Xajelm You are making difficult questions

i donīt know why...its just stupid having flash on A100/A200 phones and not on UIQ...
Again, if finally Adobe releases FL3 for UIQ3.x, all have hardware to run it, even the old ones like P990/M600/W950
What i mean is that it is not for UIQ3 limitations, and now UIQ 3.3, that FL3 is still not available, and same goes for hardware, do you understand???
Yakkaimono, Opera 9.5 supports flash IF it exists on the phone...if the phone does not have flash installed, Opera 9.5 wonīt be able to use it

It would be pretty silly for SE not to license flash from adobe. Flash content is THE multimedia experience on the web. Practically every popular site out there uses it in one way or another. By not supporting it, especially in their highest end full featured smartphone, SE is depriving their users of the full web/multimedia experience and that alone would take away a tremendous amount of market share because the fact is, users (especially young ones), want and need flash content for youtube, google video, animations, etc. It is essential.
I just hope that SE is not crazy enough to make the mistake of not licensing flash.

Interesting.
A completely new version like A300, or an upgrade like A250?
Sounds cool.
It would explain the advanced features.

I know this ares, I know UIQ is note flash limited, the question is why

doesn't license Flash Lite for UIQ3 ?
I know Animated gif & svg in wallpaper is symbian thing not UIQ, but why

doesn't work with flash lite, supporting flash lite as files, media, screensaver, wallpaper will make Ani.GIF less wanted than now, and much less wanted too !!

You could ask that of all UIQ phones--Why doesn't SE put quadband in their UIQ phones? Why doesn't SE put HSDPA in their UIQ phones?
Given all the "rules" Paris seems to be breaking in regard to these deficiencies, if it doesn't support FL out of the box, I'm sure it will receive support shortly after release.

Are you sure about that ? Eldar did mentions that A200 upgrade should appear this year, it's very nice to have K850i as one of the first A200 phones and it's successor as one of the first A200 upgrades

I thought QuadBand / HSDPA was a Symbian issue not UIQ, but Symbian 9.3 fixed that... it's same as animated wallpaper, I never saw symbian phone with animated gif as wallpaper, none from

none from others.

I guess I don't know that (was the P1i Symbian 9.3?), but regardless, there are a lot of "firsts" with Paris, so I see no reason why FL wouldn't ever be supported.
