Anyway, I'm getting closer to buying the X1 but need to know does it support push e-mail for gmail, and if so is it free? This is something I can't live without on my N95. Thanks!

1. I don't really understand about push email. Currently I'm using my X1 for my gmail, I like the way I receive the email just like sms. (I've stopped using my pc except for downloading big attachement). Is this call push email
2. Is it free ? I think you still have to pay for the internet connection (either wi-fi, hsdpa, 3G, Edge...).
3. can some one explain about push email.

push email: you get the email as soon as it reaches your mail provider ie: they "push it to you", rather than you having to click "send/receive" on your email client (or check on a schedule every 30 minutes or whatever) to get it.

I'm not sure if Gmail is push capable--it may be.
Windows Live, however, is free push email. All of my Live mail is pushed immediately to my X1. I have all of my Gmail set to automatically forward to my Live account. So, I have push Gmail too

Rubbish. Utter rubbish. The E90 is only the king of the smartphones if you like to carry your phone in a backpack.
Edit:
The E90 is so fat, other phones make "yo mama's so fat" jokes about it to its kids.

@1337h1um
Well maybe were not all feeble and are prepared to take a bigger heavier device if it gives us a 4" screen that is 25% larger than the X1's.
Along with a full QWERTY keyboard with symbols already on it, not to mention a faster OS from a less powerful but better Processor that doesn't need as much Ram either.
That supports Flash without the need for adding tweaks has better Video recording and playback as well as a better Camera to.
That doesn't suffer from cracks, scratches and battery covers that don't stay on all within weeks of release.
Oh and that is nearing the end of it's life cycle yet is still one of the best and most powerful smart phones available. Just wait until it's replacement arrives and see what that will bring.
As for this comment

What are you like 12 or something? get a life and grow up.
No one says you have to like it or use it but to deny what it is just because it isn't from SE is just downright pathetic.

@dogmann, what would you chose between X1, Bold and storm. I have played with X1 several times but still not totally convinced that X1 is for me.
Thanks in advance for your feedback

@Dogmann
What will the E90 successor have that the N97 won't ?

Dogmann,
I wasn't attacking you.
Wait. Actually, yeah I was.
But I think you took my post too seriously. I was just stirrin'
And as a matter of fact, I am in no way a Sony Ericsson fan. My first SE phone was my P1i, and now I have the X1. I am not one of those
-worshippers. Take the
badge of the X1 and put HTC's on it and I couldn't care less (as long as it didn't affect the build quality or software of the device in any way....). In fact, put a keyboard on the Touch HD and I probly woulda got one of those.
You must admit though, the E90 is pretty damn huge. All Nokia's Communicator series phones have been. It's far too big to carry around in your trouser pocket. Well, MY trouser pocket... I dunno maybe you have foot-deep pockets or something. "Denying it what it is" - well, you can put a Core 2 Duo and six gig of RAM in a phone as big as a laptop, and then that would be the king of smart phones, wouldn't it. But a laptop-sized phone is not practical for anyone. Obviously comparing the E90 to a laptop is a bit excessive, but the E90 is still not practical for many people, myself included.
As for your comment about my joke... No I'm not 12. As for getting a life, well I probably do play Call of Duty 4 too much but I still have a life. You just need to get a sense of humour
That joke was not particularly funny, actually it wasn't funny at all really. But still. I respect your opinion, and I actually found your comments about the X1 useful and I agree with most of them. I think you just took me a little too seriously.
