The touch pen is bit more advanced than Samsung's S-Pen. Uses friction-based haptic feedback

Appears that Sony filed a patent for this last November

http://www.engadget.com/2012/[....]haptic-feedback-stylus-patent/

a stylus which instead uses artificially generated friction to make it harder or easier to move across the screen........this stylus-based haptic feedback, including being able to feel yourself "carving and molding" 3D objects in a design application, or understanding your character is "fatigued or damaged" while playing a game......Sony's approach would potentially bring a whole new layer of interaction.

Randomuser, apart from the friction based haptic feedback, the pen will be like the one on the note, wacom based or with some wacom abilities?

Most capability that Note series offer with S-Pen (which is wacom based) , Sony already offer them with Stylus Digitizer
that come-up with Duo 11 like Pressure sensitive, recognize free hand writing ... and so on .

Sony only need to port those capabilities and Software to Xperia Phablet when it launched !

Although some waterproof sony phones manage to have dedicated camera button but all of them got tiny speaker volume. I think it will be the same in the phablet

I wish Sony use similar and slimmer one in the up coming Phablet .. Hopefully there will be port for it , Don't Like the idea of External accessory .

BTW Duo 11 Screen is absolutely incredible !

I seriously hope Sony won't use Duo 11 digitiser, which is N-Trig based, in the new phablet because it is not good. Sorry to say but Samsung Wacom based S-pen is better in this respect unfortunately.

They are many comparisons of the two digitisers and the conclusion is Wacom is better. I also second that as a user of both Duo 11 and Galaxy note 10.
