set your date back somewhere between the effective and expired dates and then install again.

up until now, i have been very happy with my P990i, but recently it has constantly freezing up or resetting.
I'm running on one of the outdated firmware.
Should I restore it to its origin state or upgrade it the the final firmware?
I worry about bricking it while updating it.

current firmware:
phone: CXC 162037 R7A001
bluetooth: CXC 162058 R4F01
organizer: CXC 162092 R2A05
CDA: CDA162007/8 R2A04

in my opinion, you need to upgrade it to the latest

it's secure to upgrade. just go to sonyericsson.com/support and you will do it by yourself.

Upgrade. Its safe to do.Just take your time and follow the instructions and you'll have no problem. If you do,its not a train-smash.Just try again. Also try and do it using broadband and not dial-up.It makes a huge difference in the time it takes to install.

I'll do the firmware update then.
Are there any things i need to do before i update?

i ran the update without plugging the phone in.
on the instructsions it said to press the C key. i'll assume i'll have to reattatch the flip to update.
also, will it work on the standard USB cable?

I've uploaded the Roller game on my phone & whenever I start it, my phone just couldn't stop vibrating. I got scared & immediately uninstalled it. I'm not really sure why it happened. Hope someone could help. Thanks!
