I think it will be much faster...
I saw a Ericsson movie (http://www.ericsson.com/solutions/enterprise/library/multimedia/mobile_sales.wmv) (video size 59 Mb) The phone is allready showing up (in the end) I think the phone is ready, but (SE) still experiencing production problems or software development problems (stability, battery life etc improovements)

They should release a 'beta' version, like a software release, so that all you eager beavers can help them find the bugs!

Yes, it would be nice if they released anything for us "eager beavers," especially if it was the actual phone! Anyway, I am throwing in my vote for release date. I will go with February 8th.

I think there is no way it will be February and this speculation does seem a tad pointless really.
Its also strange to remember all the previous anticipation and impatience for new phone arrivals and then those same people are upset when problems are found
I must admit I am one to get things ASAP! too but having seen the P990 and the number of reboots that were required for my short viewing etc etc I think it best to give

all the time they need to get it as right as possible!

Just to point out, i do know it's pointless. But then again, it would be a good feeling if i got it spot on.
I'm thinking i will probably wait for it to come out, be fully spread in the UK so it starts going for a descent price, then buy one. Hopefully by this time firmware issues will be ironed out, and i won't get ripped off.
The first batch of all Brand new SE phones in the UK seem to go for rediculous prices... I bet someone will get hold of some of these before release and they will sell regularly for £800-£1000....Madness.

It's not pointless speculating...it gives us something to do while we wait for the phone. And by the way, I am not one of the people that ever complains about a phone's glitches. I would much rather have the phone and deal with the problems and do firmware updates. But I guess I understand that SE doesn't want to release a buggy phone because some people will complain and it will damage their reputation.

Well, it's only a few days until the reputable/reliable Howard Forums marketplace vendor gets their p990s in (according to their post). This vendor is in the Toronto area (no physical storefront).
So we shall find out shortly.
Another vendor in the Toronto area with a storefront has the p990 for preoder:
SNtradersonline
They seem reputable, I gave them a call and the p990 is coming in at the end of this week. If I have time, I will visit their store to see the phone in person - early next week.
