@ shivam we can make use of spartan's trick using nok s 40 phones also. Mine is nokia 6230 its s40 and its working perfectly fine and no need of two accounts to access the net.

@ alan i am not getting the e symbol its iust the good old 'G' .
my speeds r anyway round 70 kbps

rahul, dude am frm calicut am using 6230i but am not getting as much as speed u get.i usually get around 10 kbps then howcome u r getting a speed of 70 kbps ..in which city u r living .I used 6230 earlier but i never got a speed above 50 kbps.if u r server is EDGE enabled then it wil show E on nokia 6230 .but nok 6230i has a software bug and it wil show only G symbol even if the server is EDGE enabled.anyway goodluck dude....

tanx rahul_mk for the instant reply. but i am too facing the same prob which ur friend is facing and tats - "quit the data connection" this is what the phone asks everytime i pick it and try to open any site as u told!

so alands this is the prob i am facing "quit the data connection" instead of "no server access" which u guys are gettin while the pc is connected!!!
is there any way to make it work!!!

@ slimshaddy I dont know how i am getting these speeds . I am from tvm in kerala(kerala's capital).Before i used airtel MO the sppeds were pathetic . Max i got was 45kbps tat too very rarely.avg speed was bout 23 kbps . It was worse than my good old dial up from bsnl . But the free trick is very good and it gives const speed of around 70kbps . check ur speed using following link and say how much r u getting http://www.zdnetindia.com/reviews/isp/rateisp/popspeed.html
@ shivam i dont know wat trick we can apply if ur phone doesnt support multiple channel gprs access
