also it says here it flashes pink:
http://www.mobile-review.com/review/sonyericsson-w850-en.shtml
The led's under the top half of the keypad can be these colors:
white , orange , pink.
white in normal mode.
orange in walkman.
pink when music is playing.
if this is just the white one i dont know but it would be a stupid idea to just make 1 color have better features than the other.
im confused i really am , still getting the w850i though

hmmm. well no matter what that review says, I dont see any pulse lights when music is playing, except the walkman button light briefly. Also the only lights I see at all are the ones at 12, 3, 6, 9 and the walkman button light. I don;t see the ones at 1.30, 4.30, 7.30 and 10.30 as shown in that review and the lights simply fade out after a short duration after a keypress, just like any other phone I have used.
there is really nothing special to see here as far as I am concerned

No pink light. Only orange walkman button and four direction keys light orange. Intermission lightning only for walkman button when music is playing. If not in walkman mode, the keys are white and the walkman button light is off.

Maybe the 'pulse' feature wasn't meant to be like Motorola's. Maybe it was just meant to be blinking-walkman button?

perhaps it looked pink? Mine is orange, and they go in time with the music then fade away when the screen goes out, unless you hit a key to bring it back to life.
Its a pointless feature if you ask me. Just drains the battery some more.
It kinda looks like kitt from knightrider though - lol
