Hello, sorry if this has been answered elsewhere!

I've just bought the maps of Eastern Europe from the TomTom site and cannot get them to load via TomTom Plus. Every time I try it just tells me that the product is not for that device.

Rather stupidly I activated the map before installing believing that if the Western Europe maps work then so would the Eastern Europe!

Can anyone help me out to install them?

Try to copy the map folder directly onto your memory card and see it TomTom (on your phone) will find it via the Manage Map option.

Hi!

I know this is a P990i thread but I have a question about Tom Tom on the W950i ! I have posted in the W950i thread but maybe I can get a quick answer here...
-------------------

I have Tom Tom on my W950i now and want to add speed camera data from Pocket GPS World !

How do I see the directory where I should install the speed camera data?

I know the W950i has Fast file transfer and normal mode.

Fast file transfer does not show 'file manager' as being active!

Normal mode does but the Tom Tom folders are hidden !

I have set the option in the PC to show all hidden foldersa and files !

Any help is much appreciated !

You need to use File Transfer mode, then drag and drop the files into the relevant map folder. eg
d:/uk_and_ireland_with_we/

Hi artesea!

OK so we are talking about 'fast File Transfer mode' aren't we?

Not 'normal mode'!

I understand clearly about 'drag and drop' and I know where my Speed Camera data is on my PC, but I cannot seem to view the correct directory on my W950i so that I can drag and drop !!

When I connect using 'fast tansfer mode' I can see the 'orange coloured' screen that shows appilcations but the 'file manager is not active.

If I go to 'My Computer' and click on the 'phone icon' it says 'not connected'

I think I am doing something really stupid.. ! But can't fathom it out!

UPDATE - Got it sussed now... The W950i wasn't being 'picked up' in 'My Computer' therefore I could not see a drive letter for it.

Works now ! Thanks for all help and prompts !
