@Peter Kay,

not sure if you posted those pictures 2 months ago or not, before Sharilon's thread (the one we're all posting in) was created, or just created. But those photos arent "NEW" per say, only the middle one with the play button is new to my eyes - I've seen the top & bottom pics before here on ESATO. Any purely FRESH pics?

@Mano Khan, indeed you're facing extreme issues with your W810i - in the W810 clan thread let us know if you were able to do a firmware re-install. (I havent checked my PM's just yet it'll be later tonight). As for not ever buying another SE maybe end of next year when better products come around offering us more features other than just something slim, and putting the connector on the side - from phones like Peter Kay has posted pics of. You may want to consider S60 products from Nokia (N75, 6290 upcoming are pretty nice yet no WiFi) or the Windows Mobile 5 variety; personally I'm considering the Samsung SGH-600 (BlackJacks brother+WiFi) or the upcoming HTC Cavelier. Just my personal interests & tastes.

Sorry ya'll for gumming up the thread. Back on topic.

What are the chances - or more info of as currently its scarce - on the UIQ3 non-touch-screen smartphone with a built in qwerty (to compete with HTC Dash, Moto Q, Samsung BlackJack, Palm Treo 680)?! I'm very curious to see such a design and think it would be more functional for 1 handed use and longevity in screen life - I'm still not used a screen protector since my old Palm m515 days. I dont mean to use an M600 with cam but NON-touchscreen.

Sharilon any info of such a product?!

That SE AI looks horrible IMO. I know my P990I is a brick but looks wise it's 10,000 times better!!
What are SE thinking off? I just hope those buttons aren't final.

Just on the Ai, the size of the keys are around the size of the A + B gaming keys on the K800.

@PeterKay, boba
The reason for the new fastport placement is for new accessories. What type I don't know, but it's easy to imagine things like new cradles and speakers designed for the new fastport area. I think SE knows what they're doing. Might have to slot it in sideways.
Nokia have random placements for their ports - top, bottom and side

And boba, I think all new SE phones will use M2 from now on.

@Prom1
I do know that a couple of non-touchscreen UIQ phones will come out, and I'd sorta assume that at least one of them has a QWERTY thumbboard, but I'm not making at promises

Also, the W300 was originally going to look like a Z530, but they did change it. There's always hope.

@beta-tester
I have no info on the new HPM-75. All I can assume is that it's an upgrade to the still fantastic HPM-70. The HPM-70's almost two years old now, so now it's time for an upgrade I guess; better sound quality then.

But the Sofia is obviously being guarded heavily. Apart from the specs, the design has had no mention at all! We have no idea what it looks like
But it is based on the same architecture as the K610, and if looks anything like the K610, then we shouldn't be disappointed.

I reckon (okay hope) the Ai is meant to be a different design philosophy to the rest of SE's line up for next year, i.e. the large black border around the screen is not part of the new design theme. Hopefully the K770/Li is more representative.

Also, can anyone tell me the big difference between the K770 (Li), W770 (Na), K750 and W810? They all are pretty similar, minus/plus different GSM bands and EDGE. It just seems like design and thickness.

K550i:
- Display: 176x220 Pixel, 262.144 colors
- Camera: 1632x1224 Pixel
- Bluetooth 2.0
- no UMTS, but EDGE
- Java MIDP 2.0
- Netfront Browser (XHTML 1.1, JavaScript)
- Streaming enabled (176x220 Pixel, 3gpp, WMA, WMV, H264, Real Video etc.)

W610i will be the walkman version with more or less the same specs...

@cristiano
The new memory has a theoretical capacity of 32GB - that doesn't mean that it will come out in 32GB sizes. M2 for example has a theoretical max capacity of around 32GB as well, and so does Memory Stick Pro Duo.

The whole point of MS PRO-HG is for devices which need high speed transfer, such as Sony's own SLRs.

@Keyser Soze
Thanks for that. The camera resolution is the W700's resolution, not the same as the camera on the K610 etc.
Guess that means that the W610 is the same as the W700 basically, in slider.

EDIT: The K550 can't be a slider, but you said that the W610 is the version of the K550. Is the W610 just a candybar (with the W700 specs )?
