The worrying thing is that unless somebody else emerges as competition soon we may all
HAVE to use Android and Samsung........what a shockingly depressing thought

It has too much bloatware imo

bloatware, "software enhancements" call them what you will. I really think that the S4 will be seen as a failure in Samsungs eyes in the future. Of course it will sell in the millions but when all these S4 contracts have ended how many will support Samsung again ?

Hmmm, yeah I was disppointed with the GS4 in many ways. I hoped it would be much better than the GS3. For a top flagship of that price I would not pay for it

If you don't like it then it was not made for you.
I find it a nice upgrade from the S III.
Better and larger screen with more natural colors
Better camera
Larger battery
Louder speakersound
IR port
2 GB of RAM
Temperature and Humidity sensors
Faster HSDPA
LTE
All fitted into a more compact, thinner and slightly lighter body

Very happy with mine

the display alone makes it a worthy upgrade from the GS3, mix that with the new Camera, better power efficiency , more sensetive display, some of the Air gestures and Air view, I'm glad I got it.
It's bound not be everyones cup of tea. Enjoy your HTC One, Lemmy, it seems like a fantastic device, had it had a 5inch display and MicroSD slot it would've made the decision hard between it and GS4.

The IR port for a tv remote control is very tempting though lol
