The price of Motorola Droid and the early release date are the advantages it has over Sony Ericsson Rachel. Rachel may impress us with its superb sprecification but Droid will be sold cheaper and earlier. Unless SE plans to sell Rachel immediately after the formal announcement, Droid still has the upperhand.

Not to mention feature wise(bar camera) its better. The keyboard is a must for a lot of people still and while it might not have a custom UI its perfectly fine to be Android2.0's launch phone and an android phone in general.

But from the engadget preview,
Droid fails misarably in keyboard and camera depertment.

True. I reckon the Droid would be better off without that horrible keyboard.

I really love that Kanye West song used in the presentation. The second song played in the video "jump" who is the artist?! Anybody know?
Right now my only concern is being able to control music playback without leavng the current UI I'm in. I'm guessing a rapid double tap on the BMW button just like the iPhone should remedy this issue.

if so this will be a huge slap to Google & HTC since the very first android unit was a prototype like this and never made it to market. If it is similar in size and better spec than E71/72 then we will have an industry leader and fighter against upcoming RIM device.
Let's hope se is first to market wih liquid optical lens
the song is by Madonna

Well, they're preparing the Sholes tablet for that purpose.
Never been the fan of BB and E71 form factors... But with my last three phones (TD2, 5800XM, Satio) being fulltouch, I'm not so soon going back to other form factors again.

^Will SE ever release an adequately-sized device with combined features of X2, X10 and Satio? That is what I want actually.
Ragarding the Satio2, do you have any idea about its thickness and video recording capability?

Imagine making a phone with the power of CMOS chip from the Satio, while giving it Optical zoom (say 3x/5x/10x) WITHOUT giving it a huge hump or battery draining mechanical assembly (that also adds considerable weight) all the while in a device as slim as the C510.
Liquid Optical lens is VERY close to how the human eye works ... when no power its flat! When a specific voltage or whatever - power - is applied (and regulated) the liquid becomes semi pneumonia and curves/domes to form the zoom - like our eyes are domed. This doesn't mean that the liquid will be exposed to dirt ... it will be under either glass or high quality plastic for protection and dirt deterent. AND this uses LESS power than existing cellphone camera setups!!
