I'm wondering if Rachael has wireless charging? The micro USB cover isn't a great idea if you've got to keep removing it just to charge. I'm guessing this device is power hungry.
Its a flap thing by the looks of it, have you never owned a phone with a flap on the port? Its only a quick thing to do so I see no need for wireless.

that flap was a pain and after some time it just snapped off. didn't need it and looked fine without. hopefully this flap isn't as bad...

I never had trouble with my K700i's flap. It kept the phones underside from looking ugly, and it probably helped keep a lot of dust out of there.

Hehe, yeah I know people did have troubles though. I'm sure if people are careful, the cover on the X10 will stay in good condition.
