Can somebody summarize the differences b/w old TomTom and new TomTom software please? I have reading about the new version, but I can't find any info about new features other than memory improvements.
Also, can you somebody send a link to get updated maps for USA ?

the latest map is 6.75 (i think)
yeah you can dl it from tomtom.com if you have your activation code.

I always browse to there to check if there is any update.
However, I just found out the TomTom maps version 6.75 folder has gone...
I was gona download the UK map from it....
Just wonder did u remove it or it was a case of removed by the admin or someone else....
Hope to see it again as i need it real soon....

Hi Guys,
I have the navigtor 6 and maps of westen europe DVD, i have installed all the files on to my 1 gig memory card and instered it in to the phone it then asked to install it, when i press the install icon on the handset it does nothing, there is no TOMTOM icon on the phone, all the files are on the card but i cant get it to install on to the handset any ideas?

Question for any knowledgeable tom tom guru to help or anyone just HELP! please? I live in so cal and want/need a tom tom but dont want to have to carry an extra device around by purchasing one of the ones at the local retailers. Has anyone purchased the tom tom 6 with the gps receiver and is it compatible with the p990 or did u go with another gps receiver and purchased the software alone? forgive my ignorance if this has been asked.
