Does anyone know if any website made a comparison between the P1i and N95?
The N95 is 'better' in all respects except build quality. It is built like a toy and the slider mechanism is dreadful. It was going to be my phone for so long and I was counting the days until it was released. I just couldn't live with the shocking build quality though, it is probably the most important feature to me. So there you have it, a mini comparison!

Personally I would rate the P1 over any Series 60 3rd edition phone. I've just upgraded from an N80 and I'm so impressed with the P1.
S60v3 has amazing 3rd party app support compared to UIQ3, but UIQ3 is so much better at multi-tasking and I would hesitate to say is quicker than any S60v3 offering. It's not just about hardware, I find the UIQ3 interface and software design is head and shoulders over Nokia's. For example, the Internet connectivity options on UIQ3 are really good; you can assign multiple accounts to a default group (all your wifi accounts, for example), and the phone will scan through them until it finds one it can connect to. With S60v3, you have to wait for it to scan for wifi spots before you can even start to choose one, it's a real hassle.
The touch-screen on UIQ3 is also fantastic, making using the phone a real joy!

i have both the N95 and the P1 and they are both good at what they do.
N95
5MP camera, Wifi, GPS, Music Player, Poor Build quality
P1, sturdy, touchscreen, qwerty keyboard (well kind of), decent battery life so far, blackberry connect.
These phones were not built in competition of each other the N95 is a music phone the P1 is a business/out of the office device like most of the Pseries.

where you say music i say entertainment

, although the P1 and p990 don't have many features missing (mainly Audio and Video codecs). there are enough 3rd party apps to fulfill your needs
speaking of codecs does anyone know if someone has ported the Atrac codecs to p990/p1? or maybe even the whole Mp3 player from walkman phones?
thanks in advance guys.

If your looking to find the p1i for the cheapest price without a contract then try ebay periodically over a day or 2. I was able to fine 1 that was almost new (used for 3 days) for 400$ usd (Cant wait till it gets here). Ive seen other people who are selling week old p1i's, thats if you dont mine used. New on ebay is about 500$ usd. Hope it helps.

I dont usually care alot about video recordiing or GPS but I am anxious about the media player. Is the sound quality that bad compared to the N95?

I think the P1i has very good sound. It isn't tinny and it has a nice warm and non-fatiguing sound. Much better than any Nokia I've ever had but I haven't tried the N95. I can't really see the N95 sounding better than the N73 and N80 which I HAVE tried.
