I just feel that as the company is Called 'SONY Ericsson' - you wouldn't expect to see Samsung pop up!
Thats like saying, 'oh yeah - the new BMW 7 Series is an amazing machine, its smooth, suave and the Mercedes Benz AMG V12 does a great job of propelling this Bavarian flagship.....'
What about SE X1? (HTC build)
The McLaren F1 streetcar? (BMW V12 engine)
SEAT car brand (with AUDI/VW parts, interior and engines)
Every decent CD-player? (Most of it's internal parts is Philips)
The list goes on and on.....
I don't see the problem if there's a Samsung lens... It's still a

phone... If

finds that Samsung can make cheaper (and/or better) lenses within

's specifications, i don't see why they can't make this shortcut saving them a lot of cash and/or time....

The McLaren F1 streetcar? (BMW V12 engine) -
Yes but this happens all the time in car manufacturing. Small companies (like McLaren was at the time) buy engines from bigger companies who have the facilities to make them.
SEAT car brand (with AUDI/VW parts, interior and engines) -
Yes but this is because SEAT is owned by VW.
Anyway, I'm not arguing against your overall point. You are quite right. Just those two points which I replied to weren't really good examples.

Yeah, I know some of them were weak...

But my point was taken, and that was the intention...

Huh, this was the 'hottest' tread around here until yesterday. I can't be bothered to read all the latest post.(most are crap, speculation, waist of time, etc etc). Did someone pour some cold watter on the 'hit' or what?

Hey Guys ...
The TV/Out functionality will play videos on the TV Screen in VGA Format. Irrespective if they have been recorded in QVGA or any format.
Sounds Good, ...
Cheers ...

McLaren is a chassis maufacturer not an engine manufacturer and Gordon Murray used his links with BMW motorsport to secure an engine for the F1 road car.
A better example is the latest generation Mini which uses a Peugeot engine for cost reasons.
When BMW were working on the design of the engine for McLaren they asked if they could carry over any parts from the 6.0L V12 in the 7-series and were told yes, but only so long as the part was internal and unable to be seen, something SE will also be conscious of. Don't expect any 'Camera powered by Samsung' labels...

The point I made has been blown of proportion by Vamp -
Realise that my argument's intention was to imply that as the C905 is Sony Ericsson's FLAGSHIP - and using Samsung technologies just smears the fact that Sony Ericsson are the first on the mkt with an 8.1MP shooter, let alone with a device that for the first time covers convergence so well!
Forget the examples by Vamp - focus on the handset at hand, the C905. yes granted, it won't have Samsung all over it - but all those valid examples given earlier are of MID - LOW range products - this is a FLAGSHIP we are talking about.
