Guys, we know nothing more than what Sony wants us to know.
It is quite possible that these leaks are just Sony trying to evaluate public reaction to such a hypothetical device or maybe just to certain features.

The link I posted yesterday is from someone on weibo.
Person says that an event might happen few days before s10 announcement.
We do not know if "s10 lite" wil have 855, because the benchmark seen today shows multicore below 7000.
Even without a smaller flat version, we should not expect any xperia flagship to sell even 3 million.
They do not do already probably.
While any S will at least 15 million.
According what Buks answered someone, I think what we all believe to be xz4 may not be.

The claim Sony made that they'll be the first with 5G is looking unlikely, I think Huawei and Samsung will release 5G ready phones first and they're probably signed up with different carriers already. Huawei actually make 4G and 5G infrastructure stuff.

A compact S10 will have a bigger screen and small footprint compared to the XZ4 Compact, it'll probably be thinner with OLED so who will want a fat Sony phone? The XZ4 Compact has to go OLED or it's dead on arrival because it does become fat and ugly.

The thickness of all compacts is the battery.
Iphone 8 has less than 2000mAh, XZ1c has 2700.
If xz3 was same size of xz2, it would be thicker than it is ..
Since last year they should have used for Compact a same appoach of ZL.
5" 16:9 but only 13cm tall. XZ1c is 12,9 cm...
And keep HD screen.

Come on man, the Z3 did well so they gave the same phone up until the XZ2 except in all those years they didn't look what their competitors were doing. They only started changing their phones last year which is why the XZ2 looks different but they're still behind in development.

Making a Compact device is difficult, I understand that from a design and engineering perspective from people in that field. It's about solving the problem and one way the XZ4 Compact could do it is use OLED to reduce thickness etc but so far they only switch glass to plastic for the body and call it a day. I'm alright with some compromise but spend 5 more minutes making it look a bit more premium, 3.5mm jack in that fat body, wireless charging etc. Honestly, an XZ4 Compact that looks like the big XZ4 but fatter would be fine, just not that poor Z3 clone from 5 years back.

I think the oled can save only 0.5 mm.
If they cannot fit dual cam, at least they could give the oled and glass back.
I doubt it will be less than $700 anyway.
