the radio has a huge flaw but, as you have to leave the connector cover sticking out while you listen to the radio, might mean that the cover will break off sooner or later

Hi all,

I just played with the K700 for the first time. (Well, actually I saw it at a trade show a few weeks ago, but then I couldn't play around with it.)

Oh my god, it is definitely a MUST HAVE!

These are my impressions:

The screen is AWSOME! It REALLY has that TFT look. WAY better than T630, not only in terms of pixels but in the look and feel of it, and in the brightness of the pixels.

The radio works really well! The in-built speaker makes it a really good replacemet of a normal radio. Not possible to create .mp3 from the radio though, a let down.

Video capture works great, no problem there.

Image quality wasn't 100%. I only had the chance to take one test image, and it was a bit blurry. It could be due to dust on the lens (I didn't check) but it came right out of the box so that was probably not the case. It could also be due to the fact that I took the picture through a window, and that tends to blur things a bit. Or it could be due to the fact that the image was a bit overexposed. (That is easy to fix by moving the joystick up/down, but I didn't try that.) Anyway, going VGA from the crappy T610 resolution is a nice thing.

The joystick didn't feel 100% at first, but after five seconds I really liked it! No problem there either.

The keyboard is AWSOME! The Nokia guys must tremble now, with their design keyboards. It is extremely simple to write SMS:es on the K700, especially if you are used to a T610. Even though the keyboard is more compressed than on a T610, it is as easy to write, I think.

The SMS speed is WONDERFUL!

I also tried a 3D Java game. Last time I tried the phone that was running extremely slow, but now it was totally OK!

It feels a bit thicker and wider than the T610, but shorter and lighter, so I think it is the same stuff.

And, did I tell you, the screen is AWSOME! (Yes I told you, but it is really great, so I'll say it again!)
