Why not? There are gays or lesbian so or so. So I ask you why to not allow them to be married?

I think, as a generalisation (and perhaps I'm rather conservative on this), society benefits from stable, monogamous relationships. Whether these relationships are hetero- or homo-sexual I don't think is relevant. This message was posted from a T68i

maybe a little strange
but I don't think that hetero relation must be monogamous. Sure about in my case but not in my wife relation

@missuk - I mean things like the stupid conpensation culture in this country which means that headteachers are having to ban thing like playing conkers or certain playground games just in case a petty parent sued to school for any injuries caused. Also our yob and binge drinking culture, which many for some reason seem to think is 'cool'. The lack of community, things like family values and intellectualism seemingly frowned upon or simply not 'fashionable'. Sadly, I could go on!

But, I don't want to end on such a negative tone. Britain has a glorious history - we had the biggest empire in the world (26% of the globe at it's peak - including of course the US at one point!), and an interesting history to boot. Despite rather a lot of 'reality TV' and programmes involving minor celebrities, our TV from what I can gather is still about the best in the world. I feel that we also still are a very tolerant, open-minded society that other countries can learn from.

Despite my moans and the countries' problems, and liking of the mediterranean lifestyle, I don't think I could leave Britain, I'd miss too much. Hell, I'd even miss the rain!!

I don't understand why I need to explain to women or mothers why other people would want to have a same sex marriage (presumably not with the woman/mother inquestion)??

I just don't know what you mean.
