Ok called SE and he told me that i had to go to a service point because according to him the phone couldnt be updated. and @ the service point they do it differently. He completely ignored the fact that i had already updated it once. go figure

Where are the service centres. Is it the sony shops or the high street phone shops? I bought mine online and really don't want to send it back. There's not much wrong with it and its on the original fw, but I wanted new icons and the remote to work. Maybe I'll wait untill you lot have reported all the cock ups with the next fw version, before I upgrade!

I dont think that the operators have cancelled the updates, i think SE has due to so many problems with the new update and GPRS.

I'm from france, and firstly i would to excuse me if i don't write in a correct english.
I've bought a K750i phone and in france it seems that we've got a "special" personalisation...
In fact we cannot update the phone from SE global site (SE FR site has no link of update programs...) because we are in FR_1 EU_1 personalization program...
Then i would like to know if someone knows when a new release of the firmware will be publish for EU_1 / FR_1 phones? Any idea please? Why it's take so long to release this update ?
Or, how can we update the phone without the problem of personalization zone.
I heard on this forum about davinci program. I've download it, and it seems that davinci recognize correctly my phone. But what can i do then? How can i retreive the firmware files for my phone?
Does somene tried to update the k750 with davinci?
Is that possible to force the update on a EU_1 from a EU_3 firmware? Is that risky?

DaVinci is an "underground" solution if I may say so... First, in order to do it, you have to pay for it and then you will most certainly lose your warranty, if not your phone (it could be dead if there's a problem...)
Though, I've used it for the last 6 months with my K700 and I'm about to use it with my new K750i since I have the same personnalisation as you have....
