@QVGA If you want bragging rights in the Android world you should have bought or buy a HTC / N1 handset. I am not saying the X10 is a perfectly handset as it clearly has some problems but I do feel most people are ether trolling or making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Only thing that bothers me is that I can't use some off the latest applications.

Honistly between this and the other X... threads its all you read. Ok so its been delayed. Whoopdedoo. The world and its hamster are gonna boycott and bitch about SE till the next thing come along. Guess what will happen then ???

You buy the fing product. You accept it as it is. Its not like the manufactures HAVE to issue constant updates. If and when they do release one then great. If they don't then whatever. Live with it. The x10 series is stable enough. If SE think the phones dont need the update they wont release one. If they think it does and want to get it right 1st time even though it may take a little longer then fine.
I can guarantee that once this update does finally come. There will still be people whinging and going on because is not Android v40.7658544678 or the like.

This is my useless post, but yes I agree on that statement. So its +1. And people please, don't get me wrong, I do love to have updates from SE for the next yeas of my life
for X10 . But 1.6 works damn nice so far!

Should you look past all the gloss, there is a fundamental point being made here. As customers, a major aspect to product loyalty is clearly the support and so for good reason they are becoming increasingly frustrated. Despite SE's best efforts, we are all witnessing their flagship product falling behind the trend in the (Android) market.
As a result the bulk of the disgruntled comments seem to stem from the fact that SE's competitors are, quite adequately, meeting targets. And so the gap continues to widen.
The fact that this is a rapidly changing industry makes this all the more vital and so perhaps SE's business model is hurting it where it counts the most.

As happy as i am with my X10, im disappointed by SE's handling of the update, at 1st they said Q4 then put up our hopes by saying Q3 and now back to Q4, they should just have kept quiet even if it was Q3 and suprised us and come a situation like this they wouldnt be getting such flack, what idiots, still loving my X10 though
