I do not think that email came from SE. There are numerous spelling errors and grammatical mistakes. It was probably fabricated.

To say there are no probs is absurd.... have they gone to gordon brown's school of denial?

Also to say that people are running too many things and it causes errors.... I would expect it to slow, maybe but I'd still expect to be able to browse my phonebook whilst listening to music through bluetooth.
Before it died it was unusably slow to do anything if playing music on BT... and then it rebooted lots... and then died (BROD).
I would hardly call that pushing it too much - I was running no java apps or complex themes etc.

How do we go about setting up a class action?

I've had a reply to my letter to T-Mobile UK - R1DA038 is the latest f/w they've approved - apparently their engineers found slight problems (?the reboot issue) with the subsequent f/w updates and therefore haven't yet authorised them yet.

They've offered me a replacement K850i or a switch to another comparable phone (N95 looks the most similar). I've been reading various comparisons on the web and it looks like the K850i normally comes out just ahead on photo comparisons. I know the N95 has some extra features (WiFi, etc.) but I do still like the SE interface so I think I'll give them one more chance - hopefully a newer build model will work better!

WHY do smug people who have no issues with their phone feel compelled to tell everyone else who has that it is somehow their own fault for pushing the phone too hard or having too high an expectation from a £300 flagship product, grrrrrrrrrr makes my blood boil.

Still getting the reboots , 80% of time when phone is rested, thursday phone swiitched itself off instead of playing the alarm i had set.

Then last night I tried to take pics but the camera cover wouldnt open, never had that one before, wtf...

I dont think its a matter of being "smug", if you are referring to me then I will address this comment: My post was not meant to say that the phone is perfect or anywhere near that. What it was, was a simple post stating that continually b$tching about the same ole same ole and bashing this one for saying this and that isnt helping anything or anyone. The mention of pushing the phones to much to where they do crash is a possibility, not a accusation saying its everyone's fault. The camera thing was supposedly fixed in an update, not sure which one. The front page mentions it being fixed.

Camera problem cant be fixed or I wouldnt be experiencing it for a 1st time on the next but last firmware.

Im happy for everyone whos' phone has little or no problems but people will continue to complain until such time the phone actually is stable

My network provider obviously doesnt think it is or they would have released the latest version BUT maybe from the number of returns they have realised that the last 2 releases from SE have been bad.

Does complaining here help? No. Is this going to solve the issues? No. For those who are not happy with phone, possibly make up a petition or something every sign and find out how to get it to their corporate office.

Do what I did and get rid of this retarded phone. I sold mine and replaced it with the terrific w890i and have laughed at the k850i ever since.

Every now and then I check back to this thread only to see unhappy k850i owners waiting for yet another firmware update.

Why some of you feel the need to hold on to this phone is beyond me. I havent even checked for a firmware update since buying the w890i as it has worked flawlessly out of the box.
