@angelgirl: you'll need to contact an mtn connect or friendship centre to migrate. Its a contract package remember?

@ amby: I did the math. dont think I spend 10 k on any one line of mine in a month. If i decide to stop using all my other lines including starcomms then it might do but i need my starcomms for my business as i make on-net calls @N2.

@ easy: Nice one. But i doubt with the stigma Celtel is facing they would also change name. Nothng wrong with Mtel since Transcorp isnt a telecomm company to strt with.

@coola: funny enough, i ws complaining the same thing not long ago, but last week i got them with one dail (and 7 mins of being on hold).

@abu: in my case, only about 4% of my contacts are on land lines within my network, so starcomms wouldn't do me any good. If Celtel could match the tariff offered by MTNxtravalue, I wouldn't think twice about migrating, but as it were, so many people already know me by my Celtel number to switch numbers now.

@amby Dont look at the % of PTO numbers but the amount of PTO calls you make. In my case, my shops, staff, my subdealers and family are all on starcomms so i make at least 20 mins of calls daily with it (N40 only in Maiduguri & Kano, N100 elsewhere) On that bane, Im forced to maitain 4 starcomms phones (2 @ the office, 1 @ the house and my mobile!!! lets not talk of my wife's!!!!) So thats the math!!!!!

Celtel finally deactivated my gprs this morning. Them don try jo. But that means goodbye to Celtel and Y'hello MTNxtravalue. But I'll wait till January before commiting myself with the hope trav Celtel might repent. I sincerely wish them luck, and hope they get their acts 2gether. Mtel is poised for restructuring under the auspices of Transcorp so Celtel had better watch out.
Compliments of the season to y'all at PNF
