IMHO, I don't think that phone(kurara) will see the light. It's design is not what these days demand.

If only they doesn't develop Satio and Xperia X10, but instead makes a Satio with an addition:
- Android 2.0 + SonyEricsson UX interface (TimeScape, MediaScape etc)
- Compass
- 4" FWVGA Capacitive AMOLED screens (little bigger phone dimensions)
- Bigger 1500mAh battery
- Stereo speakers +3.5mm jack
- Snapdragon QSD8672 (dual-core 1.5GHz processor)
- 1920x1080p HD video recording (yes snapdragon support it)
They would saving much fewer resources by developing one killerphone instead of two at the same time!

Hiron, the X10 has a compass (they have to update their whitepaper and website)

I know that
But I think Satio doesn't had a Compass? CMIIW
That's what I said. Don't make Satio and Rachael, but make a phone like
Satio with an addition of Compass and much more. Developing one phone is more cheaper that two phones
Why they doesn't squeeze the best possible spec? The spec I mentioned above only combines Rachael and Satio, so I know
they are capable to makes this phone!
And one more...
Why they didn't combine global and north American version? I mean combining X1 and X1a... I thought there's a little difference in cost if you're going from third-band to quad-band GSM, isn't it?
Many people prefers that their phone could be used everywhere in the world...

For reference, here is the difference between QSD 8250 (used in Rachael) and QSD8672. Although they were 2 years old (announced on November 14, 2007), it's still the most powerful smartphone chipset today:
QSD 8250:
1 GHz CPU
600MHz DSP
Integrated 3G mobile broadband
Support for Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® connectivity
Built-in seventh-generation gpsOne® engine with Standalone-GPS and Assisted-GPS modes
High-definition (720p) video decode, and multiple video codec support
High-performance 3D graphics – up to 22M triangles/sec and 133M 3D pixels/sec
High-resolution up to WXGA (1280×720) display support
12-megapixel camera support
Multiple audio codecs: (AAC+, eAAC+, AMR, FR, EFR, HR, WB-AMR, G.729a, G.711, AAC stereo encode)
Support for mobile broadcast TV (MediaFLO™, DVB-H and ISDB-T)
Support for Windows Mobile®, Android, and a number of Linux®-based operating systems
Qualcomm’s hybrid mode alternative solution
QSD8672 is the same with above, with an addition:
Dual CPUs, up to 1.5 GHz for faster response and processing
Low-power 45nm process technology for higher integration and performance
Higher-resolution WSXGA (1440 x 900) display support
High-definition (1080p) video recording and playback
Support for HSPA+ networks – 28 Mbps downloads and 11 Mbps uploads
Supports CDMA2000 1X, 1xEV-DO Rel 0/A/B networks
Improved 3D graphics – up to 80M triangles/sec and 500M+ 3D pixels/sec

Hiron, you realize that the cpu+DSP is considered as having 2 cpu's.
Where you trying to state that the QSD8672 has a dual core cpu?
If so then it is worth nothing unless the OS (Android in your suggestion) is capable of SMP to utilize it in order to distribute threads to the seperate arithmetic core. Right now only OS X and Symbian are capable of this in the mobile world.
Personally I STILL prefer Symbian as it offers much better battery life. Right now specs on a non produced paper spec cpu does NOT make it the most powerful. Sure the frequency looks niced but I don't see ANY advantage over the TI OMAP4340; not even the HD.

I kind of agree. The front of the phone is ok, but the back and the squashed egg overall shape of the phone remind of the P800 or P1i, and let's face it, those two phones are old. The P800 especially looks dated.
I like Kurara, but it's not a stunning design like a few of SE's recent ones have been.

Kurara, the first SE to be surely marketed with HD video capabilities when others have been doing that for ages, will not get released? Dude that's crazy even for SE standards.
