It's supposed to be released in May (Possibly June). @randomuser has already confirmed that Sony will be releasing it in a similar fashion to the way that they did the sudden announcement for the Xperia SP and Xperia L. In that respect, and to quote @randomuser when he was explaining this, the Xperia A ('Dogo') will have be a "surprise announcement" .
EDIT: Will 'Battery Stamina Mode' be present in the upcoming 2013 Sony smartphones?

No, not September - the Xperia A will release in May or June. I think you're possibly thinking of the C680X 'Honami' (H2 flagship) "One Sony" which will be released mid-end Q3 2013 - Anywhere between July-October.

Im not sure if i believe Xperia A will use APQ8064, as far as i know Qualcomm is no longer fabbing it, it must be old stock that Sony is getting cheap or they are re-using Xperia Z stock. The latter is more unlikely because Z is selling very well and i doubt there is much stock left to use

Its no longer available at Qualcomms latest product portfolio aswell

I haven't been keeping up with the thread lately, but has there been any news about the phone coming to a US carrier other than that small carrier that's local to Colorado IIRC?

@randomuser , will it ('Dogo' , or Xperia A) use that processor and if so would it be old stock that Sony is getting cheap or they are re-using Xperia Z stock?
