want to use it for LEARNING
for entertaintment what so ever
i have a half life 2 cd...maybe i can use it then
I already have a Macintosh PowerPC 6400 but its kinda out dated
and the CD ROM is not working

Gprs down for two odd hours. Vin, get a 64 bit pc. The price difference isn't that much. You can get an AMD 64 2800+ FOR ABOUT 26K. the performance of the 2800+ is almost equivalent to a P4 540 running at 3.2 Ghz! And the L2 CACHE IS 512KB. I'LL SUGGEST THE Asus k8ne-deluxe motherboard. But note that the only motherboard I KNOW which has onboard video for the AMD is the Asus K8S-MX.
