Not so sure about them raising videoquality through firmware on K750/W800. W900 may be based on the same platform but propably has a stronger cpu to be able to deal with the higher resolution games, screen, videorecording etc.

Seing as the K750/W800 are allready having problem playing properly encoded 25fps video at more than 180kbit/s video in 176x144, I think its a hardware issue, not a firmware issue. Simply speaking, I think the cpu in K750/W800 isnt powerfull enough for videorecording/playback of similar video as W900, no matter what they do with firmware.

About the integrated harddrive in forthcoming models, I wouldent bet my money on that either, integrated harddrives are much to vulnerable for devices that get tossed around like mobiles, and I dont see that many manufactures or devices going down that road in the near future.

I've just seen the pics and specs and am still unsure if this is going to be my next phone. The memory is the main advantage to me but the size puts me off as the S700i was a bit big in my opinion and this isnt much smaller.

Not saying you should get it, but what about its video capabilities ?

Full screen movies and WEB TV on that big bright display is indeed an improvement over S700.

Also, the possibilities to upgrade the software over air (instead of using USB cable) is indeed a nice touch too (remains to be seen how well it works).

it sounds great in theory sadly the cyrrent system isnt without its problems and that should really be straight forward
but none the less a nice touch.
for me its the size of the thing when its open that puts me off, i aint keen on the looks but i do like the specs and i would buy a phone on specs rather than looks, but it looks like a 2 handed job just to send a text or an email and i cant be doing with that.
i would have prefered it touch screen (with just numbers and predictive text ala standard phone keyboards but touch screen) and lost halve the screen when texting and emailing and get full screen back for music and games controlled by the buttons then i would have bought one

I'm happy with my w800i. I'm being serious when I say I would choose the w800i over the 900, the 900 is just too big, especially when opened, and offers little to counter that (a much larger screen would be cool). The w550/w600 is small with a similar design. It works there, because it remains a small phone. But this one is just too big, in my opinion.

its an interessting device, but ...
if they really want to release anything ground breaking, a phone with 4GB flash memory would be the thing to go - the 4GB range is the range where most of us would leave their regular mp3 player behind
of course, its a 3g phone and it supports flash lite ... but to be honest, the w900 is a w800 with a different design larger screen and some other goodies(video support with 500MB is not really "cool")
please don't reply with "you can buy a 4GB stick" - i don't have money to waste

huh? A phone with 4GB internal memory would cost as much as this phone + a 4GB stick... so what's with the "I don't have money to waste"?

Its a good phone from my point of view, maybe not the best in looks and size, but it has very good features for such a phone.and 30fps qcif is real good and they have reworked interface and added some useful features. This is a good move from se. I think 512mb internal memory is real good as there is no other comparable products with such huge internal memory.
