manish, i get an average download speed of 25 to 26.5 KBps using an edge device on mobile office. If im not mistaken, the k jam is edge enabled. Maybe the ahmedabad service does not support edge. I have used hutch in the part and find airtel speeds to be far more consistent .. In mumbai.. At least

@mrao yup the KJAM is edge enabled...
I was downloading mp3 song on my PC last night and the speed was 7-8kbps...
But when I browse through K-JAM the speed is quite good...
Why is it so?

@mrao, Manish: I think there is more to it then just EDGE, Bangalore networks are edge enabled, But I rarely get speeds above 10-15kbps.

There is also Thunderhawk available but you have to pay a subscription to use it. looks nice enough, have tried the demo version but had nothing but trouble with it. may be different on a k-jam. im using the second beta release of Opera and find it better than PIE as it loads pages a hell of a lot faster. would be nice if it supported flash and screen drag thou as PIE does, with MultiIE 3 installed.

The main problem in Opera is that it doesn't supports screen drag, when I tried to open
http://ebay.in it opened just left half page of it as it doesn't supports the screen drag
@twerg where is the demo version of thunderhawk available? I will like to try it out...
Thanks!
