@kk how the hell has a 17yr old got 5yrs no claims?! am i missing something?!

@bav - don't forget man that EVERYTHING you do to your car you have to inform the insurance about. Don't think you can get away with it or that you will never crash as i know people who have lost out big time. As a young driver they may well ask for quite a lot more when you tell the mabout your mods and quite a few companies will just say no altogether. Do not bother respraying your car. If you don't like your colour then buy a different car as a good full-respray will knock you back a minimum of £1,000 and will lower the car's resale value. If you pay £500-£600 for a respray it will look wank, and probably bubble and peal in a couple of years. Subtle is the way to go in my opinion. There is nothing funnier than some tit in a rust bucket with a huge loud tin can exhaust, a spoiler twice the size of the car and shinney plastic lexus lights. I would just fully colour code the car and try and find the OEM kit from the gti model or a similar sort of kit. I would put a light tint on your rear lights/fogs/indicators (use a mix of tinting pain and laquer). At the end of the day though it is all down to personal taste and do what YOU like not what others like. I would seriously consider some performance mods to as you don't want to have a car that looks shit quick but gets beaten by everything on the road.

Honda Integra Type R trounces Golf all day, everyday.

Regardless of our opinions of what we would have bought, Brownlad007 has a 206 in Aqua green which is a fine car and there is no need to change it or the colour.

@Brownlad007

I hope you've found the contributions usefull. Could you post a pic once you've applied the window tint?

Id keep it subtle mate, dont try being a gti cus it aint one.

a nice roof spoiler like this

some decent alloys

maybe a back box

lower it, but not too much and maybe colour code too that always looks good. not sure about tint, make sure its not too dark or you end up looking like a van lol

good luck mate.
