hmmm very interesting, I must say i want a p990 lol, but the m600i is no different if I import from switzerland so I won't bother on that.
If you can get pics of the p990 that sounds really sweet, I gota say id love to see some, did it come fully boxed etc?

I got it around the Meena bazar (sp?) And bargaining is easy... I got 60GB iPod videos down from about 1080AED to 600AED and they are the full retail original apple versions. This is from the same guy as the p990i. I haven't asked about where they are from or how they got them... I don't really want to offend or anything, seeing as the guy barely speaks english, and if they are, doesn't affect me
It's not so much a store but a a room he takes you to above some shops... They stands in some of the clothing shops selling fakes watches etc, he stands in those and just repeats "MP3s, Cameras, iPods" over and over. He annoyed me so I asked what he was on about, then he says he has them for sale and takes you to his "office". I'd seen a lot of people doing this for fake watches, but not electronics. I pretty much bought everything the guy had, few iPods to sell on, some phones as gifts, and some cyber-shots. So I asked if he's be interested in some trade like sending to me in the UK but he was a bit hesitant and said he sells what he has, and can't garuntee he has stuff.
To be honest, I don't think he knew much about the stuff he was selling, hence the low prices. But i'm off to see him again today I think if I have time, he said he should have some more in a "few hours" so we'll see.
If there are any more, i'll pick them up and sell them to Amnesia at cost price (providing i'll have no problem at customs, which is what my parents are worried about) and you can sell them to people on your list
Oh about the chinese version part, any way I can check to see if it is? Obviously I'll be a little annoyed, but it was cheap so... haven't had much of a chance to play around with it yet, it's wayyyyyyy to hot here (40'c) to be inside
Off to Jumeira beach me thinks...

KK has sent me a pm asking that people stop pming him as whatever limited units he gets he will be giving them to me to give to people on the list.
So I guess this is pretty much our list now.
Again, we're not in it for profit. Just helping people out.
On a side note, in UK Stufff Magazine, the P990 was listed at the price of 680 pounds!!!

680 is way too much for even the P990 for me. I could buy a laptop!! Macbook even!
Anyway, this news JUST in.
The reps have said that the P990 will be launched in the Middle East "before the end of july", it doesn't mean too literal, it just means they couldn't give a specific date and it should be out soon.
Bet someone of you are happier that I postponed my dubai trip to enjoy bahrain a bit longer
oh and guys, 35-40 degrees isn't that hot. Our heat is different. In england, it hits 20 and I burn in an hour, here I can play football all day long and I just feel hot.
