as you say, I;ve lived with the k-jam since last Sept/Oct and have been quite happy but clearly the fact that I have given it up in advance of the TytN/Hermes due to the M600 means I am very open minded to see what the P990 has to offer

in some ways I feel a little obligated to choose the P990 but that has never stopped me before so we shall see

last year my choice was simply k-jam or jasjar but at least this year I have a truly comparable option to choose

I think you're being very hopeful and optimistic if you expect a TyTN avatar

in my hand, they felt much the same size, in reality they are:

k-jam: 108 mm(L) x 58 mm(W) x 23.7 mm(T)
TyTN: 112.5 mm(L) x 58 mm(W) x 21.95 mm(T)

so TyTN a little longer but a little thinner

mine is at home sitting there patiently waiting for me to arrive

actually I can't wait having had a brief go yesterday

are your thoughts the same as mine about the jog dial? I said it felt much softer and wider and nicer to use than the SE ones

yep (mines not been turned on yet...charging nicely)

I had a quick play with the keyboard and jog dial....nice is the word sir. dont think il miss the 4th and 5th way (the up and down action like p900)

the click action of the jog dial is nice and soft, just right imo.

According to O2 my sim card should already be enabled for 3G, is that correct i mean should it work fine in a non 3G handset if this was the case, just i gathered you MUST request 3G to be enabled???
