I am using two different carriers in UK:
3 and T-Mobile, both pay-as-you-go.
3 charges £10-£15-£30 with 1Gb/3Gb/7Gb monthly.
T-Mobile charges £1 per day OR £2.50 per five days unlimited downloading, but only from MobilePhone and not from LapTop.

Otherwise it is Rs. 349 a month for unlimited use.. thats about 8USD a month..
