i will ask you now, while using your phone do you think it is a beta?? For me it's not because i think it is the best phone but not fully develop because of too much potentials. It takes more time to fixed the bugs but i really hope SE will fixed it. I tried it already and it is so perfect for me. But the stocks are coming next week.
obviously, i don´t think it is "beta"

its not perfect yet, i never said it was, but i´m loving it
and i see you made you´re mind...good choice

actually since the p990i is announced,i read all the information about it. As a p series user,it is so hard for me to try another phone because of the way i used my phone. In a p series like this phone, all the things i need are included. You don't need an iPod because you can used up to 8GB memory stick duo pro,a MP4 player because it can play movies or convert movies to the format of the p990i and a good camera for pictures and videos. SO what else are you looking for?? A WIFI,3G phone. I hope on september the phone i will buy is different from what other users experiencing now.

hey ares, I'm with you.
I think you are right in saying that you would recommend it even if there are still bugs in it. Wether one can live with the bugs or without is personal and is different for every person.
I had the M600i when it first came out and everyone was saying how horrible it was and in my opinion it wasn't. That's not to say that one might not find it horrible. With the new firmware upgrade, it has been very good. I also bought the Tytn when it first came out. There's no firmware (ROM for WM5) upgrade for that yet, but it still buggy. It will shut down periodically by itself and the A2DP connection and sound is not as good as the M600. Everything slows to a craw when I use my BT headset to listen to music.
The only phone I've bought recently that was pretty much bugless was a non-smartphone.... the K800i.
Anyways, my opinion is that no matter how great or long developed a product is, I've never owned a phone that was bug free.

i cant really comment on the improvement after the software update/upgrade since out of the box, i immediately fired up boot camp and updated my phone.
I used my k800i to transfer my contacts after. and synced (with boot camp) using SE PC Suite.
what errors do you get? is it the Homepage? i believe since the settings changed the Homepage link to, in my case, wap.smart.com.ph and i get that 'tag line errors' and there is no way i can change the homepage address.
i no longer have boot camp in my MBP. i didn't want to reboot everytime i switch OS'.
it said, "can't find the server." oh well... it's ok. i can just browse the net thru wifi.
thanks for the help.

Its where cell phones with bad attidude are sent to learn to behave and fit into society properly.
No seriously its a piece of software that Apple have released to allow people with Macs to run Windows and windows software on a Mac. It is used on boot up to choose either a Mac or windows enviorement and from my understanding will be included in the next OS from Apple.
