Popped into my local Voda store this afternoon (Camberley) and they had stock. From what I saw it was completely unbranded. Apparently branded and Live!'d up stock will not be available for at least a few weeks so at the moment they are all generic models without branding. There was also of course no exterior branding either.
I think it is probably safe to assume if current stock is generic unbranded versions that they will very likely be unlocked too.

Annoyed I didn't get an order in on the Voda website when they were doing them free on the £20/12 month plan - in fact I think I would have taken a few at that price.

Oooooooo i am liking the sound of that unbranded and unlocked yippeedoo! Damn i wish i had spotted vodaphones mistake.

Can anybody confirm whether they have got there P990i for that tariff please? Your a bunch of lucky sods if you have lol!

An interesting question. My gut feel is probably not based on all the stock which has arrived at stores being unbranded, but you never know.

If it was me, I think I'd get one from a shop rather than online just to be on the safe side - at least until it is confirmed the Voda direct ones are unbranded too.

Ok another update people, most stores will have them in tomorrow (tuesday) if they didn't have them in today. The first lot seem to be unbranded which is great. Also regarding the online tariff price mistake, I would have thought we will contact you and tell you its incorrect. As a company I highly doubt we'll go into negative profit etc, we dont have to do the phone at that price as in the T&C's prices are subject to change at any point. Its not like we'll loose alot of business through it as i'm sure our stock will go very quickly

I've always found the quickest way to contact a store is to call 191, Option 2 and ask CS to call them instead!

So I just got back from my local vf store (Corner of Bedford Street and High Street, Exeter).

Me - Hi i'd just like to know if you guys have any SE p990's in.
VF Retail rep - Yes sir, would you be looking to upgrade or take out a new contract?
Me - Actually I'd like to have a look first to see what it's like after the vodafone customisation, first please.
...
2 minutes of conversation.
...
Me - So can i have a look please.
VF Retail rep - Oh I'm sorry sir we only got 3 in and they went yesterday.
Me - Oh :S...

Basically at the mention of vf direct she changed her tune and suddenly they were out of stock. I'm not going to rant. But I don't like being lied to.
She could've said they're not allowed to open the boxes or something.

Train your staff to be honest, because you nearly lost custom. @ vodafone

Thankfully the people on the other end of their customer services number are a little more honest.

Well if the womans not gonna get a sale out of you why should she waste her time and effort letting you look at it? ok she shouldn't have lied to you but you weren't gonna buy one.

Actually the customer service dude took the store name and contacted them; Because they're obliged to give product demo's even if they see no prospective sale. I got a phone call back from the actual store with an apology and offer for demonstartion 2mrw. I told em I'm taking delivery of the phone 2mrw so the apology is enough thx.

We're used to people being upfront and honest with us because that's how we do business. And thankfully those in the vf hiearchy realise that and kudos to them for responding so quickly.

Well I put together a priceplan online:

£30 200mins and 100SMS, with 4 extras (STC, 50% more mins and extra SMS) the handset comes up as £130 (18 month contract)

I went into store and got the same price plan (but instore is ONLY 3 free extras) but the handset was FOC! AMAZING!!
