how come my SEUS tells me I have the latest version, but it is version R3B01?
It seems there is a difference in firmware availability dependent on location?
& Why do I have to follow the whole precedure (taking out battery & Sim, etc) to find out that I cannot update. Is there another way to find the latest firmware?

That has been there since the original firmware version. In fact, i'm pretty sure it was on the prototype's I had.
But still, very useful for those that aren't aware of it.

Just installed it, i could make a full backup and full restore. I think they solved the bug where in music player, sometimes the first letters of name of the song wouldn't show up.

is it possible to backup SMS before doing the phone update? I really don't want to lose mine, and have no (obvious) way of backing up.
Someone on here mentioned BluePhoneElite, but it don't see an option of backing up SMS from the phone and that other application (FMA) doesn't recognise the phone when connected via USB cable.
