Hi All,
Just thought I'd let you all know how my debranding went. In short, it was a complete success and I am extremely pleased

.
From the first PM, Coxy has been very focused on assuring that I had no worries and filling in any gaps on things I wasn't sure about.
I sent off my Orange Branded M600i & the appropriate software CD-Rom on Friday afternoon via special guaranteed Saturday delivery. As soon as the phone arrived with Coxy Saturday morning, he kindly let me know that my phone had arrived with him safely.
As the debranding was done, Coxy kept me up to date, letting me know that the debranding was a success, and that he was also able to flash it via sonyericsson.com after the debranding - all good

. To my surprise, Coxy managed to get the phone on its way back to me on a Saturday. Coxy PM'd me let me know he'd sent the phone on its way and that he'd hoped it would be with me on Monday.
On Sunday Coxy sent me a further PM to let me know that everything was still pointing to a guaranteed Monday delivery.
My phone arrived home today, fully debranded and heavily bubble wrapped. I can't tell you how much better the device is without all the Orange crap on it. It runs so much more fluid, it's like I've got a brand new phone - all the extra functionality and speed - I didn't know quite how much I was missing.
Coxy has been incredibly customer focused. Prior to the debranding, during the debranding and after the debranding Coxy has been as helpful as can be. He has exceeded my own expectations and I would not hesitate to use Coxy again for any services I require. I couldn't have asked for better and I don't think it's possible that anybody could have done better.
I am one happy customer

. You should certainly have peace of mind if you opt to use Coxy to debrand your phone.

I am sorry guys, i am little confused...
does unbranding changes the CDA as well? I am just wondering whether i can use SEUS after my phone is debranded without loading back the Orange firmware but upgrading to the latest generic firmware instead.
Any ideas?

Hi
I can change the CDa when debranding which allows you to update via SEUS WITH generic firmware.
Thanks

I am a bit puzzled I bought a w950i from 02.
I have been reading threads about people wanting to their w950i's debranding but when I bought mine from 02 it came unlocked and unbranded, do 02 do this with their phones or is it because when I got the phone I inserted my vodafone sim and put the 02 sim in my w850i and never used it on w950i.
Can someone shed any light on this.

firmware is either branded or not branded and this has nothing to do with what sim card you first put in.
I read here a few times that early o2 W950 were totally unbranded but I have no idea if that is still the case
generally o2 brand their phones, but very lightly with startup and shutdown screens and a data account or two are preset

Thx masseur.
U mentioned earlier w950i's were unbranded or be it lightly but I only got mine 3 days ago and it is not even lightly branded.

When i first got my w800 from o2 i ordered it from sum dodgy website but i actually got the phone and it is fully unlocked and debranded so it depeends where you actually get the phone from, if you get it from o2, orange or vodafone it will be branded. If you get it from some website like one out of a newspaper like me you are more likely to get it debranded and unlocked.

@ stargateer
I too have an o2 w950i and although there are no obvious signs believe it to be branded!
do you have rss feeds? as i believe o2 have removed this on their firmware!!
