£50 isn't bad. You'll be making a fair bit of profit. Final decision is yours obviously. Your money.

The V3 went over my budget, but am watching a few other phones, mainly Samsung D500s, a 6230 (if it goes for the right price), couple of 6280s!

Right, got my next phone for the experiment!
Got a D500 of Ebay, £35.55 with a screen fault - the description says 'often shows a fuzzy snowscreen but can work for days'. This sounds like the data ribbon, and will hopefully not need replacing - just taking out and giving the connectors a good clean. I've fixed many a Samsung Slider screen fault this way, so fingers crossed!
The only thing is I forgot to take the postage into account, so the total I'm paying is £40.55, so I need to add £4.55 to my total expenditure. Another slight problem is the winning bidder of the T630 hasn't paid yet- I'm not worried, just I would prefer to have his payment before paying for the D500, will wait till tomorrow morning then send payment off regardless.
Looked on Ebay, and D500s are still going for £50-£60, so plenty of scope for profit there

There is a mobile phone shop setup on eBay which I saw a while back. 100's of data ribbons going really cheap. I can't remember the prices so anything I say would be a lie.

@mcrosser - when you are able to get an Ebay account, give it a go yourself, it's quite good fun!
@gregface - no, thankfully D500 ribbons don't need soldering, the screens need soldering in if you change a screen though. The ribbons slot into connectors in a similar way as T610/T630 screens connect to the phone's mainboard.
Right, the buyer of the T630 has paid for the phone now, so will now pay for the D500. If he post tomorrow, I should have the D500 by Thursday - be good if I can fix it as Thursday's a 10p listing day on Ebay!

Just realised a couple of things - first of all when I said a couple of posts ago I'd gone £4.55 over budget, i'd not taken postage into account. I'm not including the postage costs in this, either on phones I've bought or on ones I'm selling - they should even themselves out, and I'm going on the phone costs only (Am I right to do that? What do you think?)
Also, didn't post any pics of the fixed T630, so here we go:
Will post some pics of the D500 when it arrives, which I'm hoping will be tomorrow!
