I gave in and updated once i knew tomtom was compatible
I backed up my phone and it has restored perfectly (calander, contacts, themes etc)
1st thing i noticed is that the predictive text works as it should now!
Memory is around 12.9Mb free that's with opening and closing lots of apps and ending them through task manager - been doing this for around 10 minutes solid.
Seems to be a littler quicker going through menu's than it used to
It is alot quicker at booting up (but hopefully if the memory leak is fixed we won't need to do this anyway!)
some downsides i've noticed is that java apps no longer have permission to install? unless i'm doing something stupid (i.e. skybymobile no longer installed).
Swiss Manager doesn't install either
**UPDATE**
i had to uninstall all apps installed on my memory card and re-install for them to work - i now have skybymobile, swiss manager working perfectly...all seems good! and it's very very quick!

Search around, you have to downgrade your flash to 8. It doesn't work with flash v9. Adobe has an uninstaller for 9, and you can dl 8.
