I have R9 on my P990 (India).

Since the upgrade (about 9 days) my phone has reset/resrarted 3 times. Each time it was during an incoming call.

On 2 occasions I got the message "the phone has been reset to work better" or something to this effect.

a) Is this normal
b) Can the resetting be stopped
c) I have a 1GB MEM STICK could this be the problem (I have tried Sony and San Disk and it still restarts ).

In opera, the dial now only selects links after reaching the end of page. Hopless on a big page.

Well, one should know after a while ones own PIN and not need this crappy delay before the asterix comes up!

It's not a matter of knowing the PIN! When you use the stylus to enter the digits it's more likely that you can make a mistake, so I still think the 1 sec. delay is appropriate.

At leat on my phone, the ENTIRE screen is filled with a keypad with buttons so big you can use your finger to press them. Hardly an issue to 'miss' the correct button/number with the little stylus

Startup is not the only place you enter passwords. Maybe just to make you happy, SE can get rid of the delay just for the startup

Just has a problem with the R9 firmware which I have never had before ;

Phone was ringing so I press the answer button and the phone reset itself and so I missed the call!

That's not good. When was the phone last reset and are you using Swiss Manager Pro? It has not happened to me with the new fw, at least not yet

Phone was fine under R5 phone firmware. Last phone reset would have been about 1 week ago, and no I dont use SM.

May just be a weird set of coincidences, see if it happens again. Also, I've found that using SM Pro is still a very good idea and makes the phone just a little more stable. I haven't had a reset since the update (about 12 days) and I think only 1 kern-exec error.

I've had this happen to be 3 times since my upgrade (R7 to R9). I've done a master reset today maybe it will help.

I īm 15 days without any auto-reset (since the update)
