Hi there,
Is it ok to install these patches into my W800i using Gflash as FAR Manager seems too complicated?

These are not patches. The acoustic files are only drivers that control the sound quality/loudness of the phone. So in my opinion the safest way is to upload them using FAR manager, and the easier too when it comes to managing the folder structure of the phone filesystem. So use FAR manager to get into your phone filesystem, go to: "FS/ifs/settings/acoustic". Delete the existing files (make backup first) and copy the new ones. Shutdown the CSFS loader and enjoy your phone. I don't see it complicated. Just read yourself a good picture tutorial and you will find it much easier.

It's better to replace the folder instead of the files within.

It's easier to manage, the copying speed is the same and also the time it takes to transfer the files.
