Yeah agreed there matey....Although using an unlocked 8700v on O2...just like the silver...

Also just for those interested Telstra's OS 4.1.351 has some good tweaks, like ability to "Turn Off BB Data" and just have the Phone and SMS as well as other little things...

Anyone want this to test, let me know

Just tried to use the media manager on my BB desktop manager and i find out it's only for BBs with ver 4.2 software...

The only downside to the 8700 is the lack of file transfer options!

The Pearl is nice but its not the 8700....aside of the camera...there isnt much bwetween them....maybe when the 8820 is out, then i might change my mind but QWERTY rules over Sure Type....

i like the sure type as i can type one handed, as ive got small hands...

Well at work, I have the ability to remove the phone application of any user on the BES! Thus sms is gone as well as phone calls! I can also restrict install of non approved apos!

Quality of phone calls is incredible on thhe Pearl! MicroSD card is able as well, the 8700 doesn't.

Masseur - You can use the BB with just data for unlimited browser, email and therefore not making calls and texts...

Also often the BB is given as an alternative to the Laptop...and therefore is barred from in/out going calls

Not really a BlackBerry addict (or user, for that matter) so I won't even bother going to that other forum.
Just have a quick question:
My mom has an 8700g and it drives me insane that I can't get it to vibe and ring AT THE SAME TIME. (My MOTO C115 can't do it either) This is very disappointing for such an otherwise lovable device. I'm just wondering if I'm missing out on something or RIM people have gone insane.

Not cool, not cool at all. Still like the fact that you can make it ignore the profile for certain callers.
