P700 should make you think twice before going to the brick side, u traitors. There is still no Nokia with 4gb memory card support(except for the weapon N91, that phone is for carrying it tied to your back). SE phones can handle up to 8gb memory card, that is a big plus, not to mention the battery life.

@max_wedge

if camera is THE only factor then K750 is better. But for the rest of the stuff (except UI speed) N70 is better. Video rec on the N70 is much better than 750. PIMs/multitasking/multimedia are certainly more advanced in the N70.

@samlala maybe before u go for a fone, u should check the specs and try it. n70 isnt a multimedia focused fone, like k750 and if u think its slow, u should have upgraded it with the last fw. next to it, the 2mp cam of n70 even without af isnt that bad imo

video recording is a no brainer, but it's still pretty crapy video.

Re the rest of what you say, yes and no. I'll agree with you on multimedia if you point me in the direction of a good third party app that provides a decent music player interface, and a decent third party video player that supports a broad range of formats. The inbuilt players of N70 are frankly pretty poor. The Walkman or even the ordinary media player in K750 are better in all respects than the default N70 fare other than in video display resolution and screen size.

If I compare the N70 against an XDA mini (the device I use for my portable multimedia needs), for the xda mini I get far better multi-tasking and multimedia than the N70 plus editable versions of office apps, not to mention other niceties like accessing my computer's internet connection via bluetoth (using active sync - who needs wifi?), a much larger screen, and a broader range of application support. But that would be unfair since we are comparing two multimedia phones against eachother, not two against one.

Due to the larger size of the N70 screen (even though it's a smaller resolution so less sharp) I admit that movies are more watchable on the N70 than on my K750. For audio though, I'm sorry to say but the K750 wipes the floor with the N70. This is due to better audio quality, vastly superior mediaplayer UI (my K750 runs W800 firmware) and much better use of hardwired buttons to control music player functions (even while phone is locked).

So it's not so clear to me that the N70 is a vastly better platform for multimedia. A little better in video performance, but a long way behind as an mp3player is how I would class it.

all things you said about N70 are true, but a lot has happened after that. check out an E50 which is a little more expensive than K750 and i'm sure your opinions would change.

Only in the ability to mutlitask betwen apps and in the screen res does E50 have an advantage over K750, which leaves me with a pretty crap camera compared with what I'm used to in the K750. I'd rather the N70 than the E50

e50 is the perfect biz fone imo. the only negative fact is the small font at texting

E50 has exactly the same sound quality as K750, plus it has a better media player. So there you go

now I'm getting confused although I'm half-darkling: mr wedge compares k750 and n70, and now he's supposed to take an e50
