I reckon the cam quality is an issue with the firmware... I will update my phone's firmware soon and will let you guys know if there is any difference...
And why do you want a 3rd party audio/video software?
The preinstalled Music player and Video player are good enough...

3. how u encode the mp4 files ie the profile for encoding & also which softwares u use to encode them? i dont like the 3gp so i was wondering if i can use xvid/avi. mp4 is good but may be it took more size. for example yesterday i encode a mpg file to mp4 3.xx min with 400 kpbs bit rate and the size is 15MB. do you think it is good?
4.another thing is -- yesterday i was installin some java app, they run well but the main prob is i cant find a way to exit from many of those app. ie no key was givin any option. thats really annoying. need some help here
last thing, isn't there any way to make the font small. any modification?

when in landscape mode, press the right to forward and left button to reverse/go backward and remember its when you are in Landscape mode

i havent tried any 3rd party app for video playback yet

1.whats the benefit of updating the firmware? i learnt that its risky & it could make the phone dead if there's some error in the proess. but still ppl do this. just tell whts its benefint?
2.my k550i's fw version is R1JD001. how can i know whether there's a update for FW?
3.is there any update available for my phone? if i update it what r the good things for this.
4.is there any option for offline update bcoz i dont have internet connection to my phone. so it would be a good thing if i can download the update manually in my PC and then apply it 2 the phone
5. is there any option for backing up my current FW? if yes then how?
6.i cant play wmv files. dont know why? any idea? well there's option for mp4 but converting every file 2 mp4 is booring

1. getting rid of bugs.
2. you can visit "
wotan and look for the available and latest firmwares out there.
3. the latest is R6CA001.
4. im not sure if this can be done or not.
5. you cant back up your firmware. though i barely understand your question here
