When I got my w800 it became my music player of choice (Over the nw-hd3, which I've lost now! ). With a 1GB card there just wasn't enough space. At the time, looking into it 2 x 4GB MS Duos would have cost more than the nano I then bought and less convenient. The nano didn't have enough space for my liking, so I moved to an 80GB video iPod.

Well to be honest they probably got an even amount of use in the end depending on how far I was going. I think the main reason I dislike having it converged is you can't get enough space on phones. Also when the battery goes flat from all the music you lose the phone capability too, but with a separate device you don't have that problem.

Some day I'll get a 4GB card for my shiny new P1i and use it a bit more for music playing, till then I'll have to stick with the 1GB card that came in the box. Too poor to buy the card now though

Does anyone remember using the little MP3 MMC card reader snap on for the old Ericsson phones? Good old 32mb

Well i never i did get the N73, this N80 is proving to be a great phone,im using it for: Watching movies, music videos, listening to music mainly, surfing the net via Wifi,3G,or GPRS, Reading RSS FEEDS etc. . .i just need to get a 2GB Mini SD card and it wil be perfect,i love having a multimedia phone, saves space in my pocket, and makes it easier to get around specialy when on vacation,i had a Samsung Yepp YPT-4 MP3 player it was great and its tiny bt it only had 128mb of space, now its just gathering up dust in my drawer, ive got a PSP and i use that for music, games obviously and videos wen my N80s battery is low

Well i don't have a separate music player, just my phone - w810i..
Having said that, i have no intention of buying a separate music player anyways, the quality with headphones on my w810i is excellent

@Lazeeboy, although those i.Tech A2DP headsets look intriguing, I prefer a less cumbersome solution. clip on stick and in-the-earbuds

I'm now beginning to transfer music tracks during work over BT with my friends from phone to phone.

BONUS!

I use W950 + HPM82 or HBH-DS970 for my music player.
But sometimes I also use my W880 + HPM70 or MPIO FG-200 2GB + Sennheiser CX300.
