C'mon, give them a break, they're just fans. Hell, I'm just gonna be honest (unlike some of ya'll out there) and admit I'm an SE fanboy too, if gays can open up, so can I! And I'll tell you why I'm such a fanboy
1) I'm loyal by nature, been using Ericsson phones since the analog days,
2) I'm comfortable with the interface, love the graphics and is generally user-friendly and simple (just like you're comfortable where you live and wouldn't consider moving even if next door/country's grass is greener)
3) Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. SE's design to me is what I look for, nothing quite tickles my fancy the way Ericsson/SE does-they just have the X-factor, Nokia is the worst IMO (with the exception of 6300). This said, I won't say I don't understand what you see in Nokia, so please return us the favour too.
4) I'm happy with what I have. At the end of the day you just wanna be happy am I not right? You're happy with Nokia's (or any other phone besides SE) technology, I'm happy with SE's branding/looks. So I think there are a lot of happy SE phone owners out there (for now) since their marketshare IS increasing.

So what is it that's so hard to understand dammit

Dogmann you're preaching to the deaf here. No one is ready to hear anything against SE on Esato. The only way they let you post without flaming you is only if you agree with them on how good SE is.

esato should remain a website/forum dedicated to the best phone brand on the market.
and untill today that still is SE, and i'm pretty sure it won't change soon.

the more SE sells, the more money they have to invest in new things.

The simple fact is i am very often accused of all sorts of things that i then have to prove to be untrue, I don't see myself do the same to others. I don't hate SE far from it but am i disappointed with both how they treat there users and the fact that a lot of their devices seem to be missing at least for me and others some basic and vital tech.

I would love to get as excited as i used to over SE devices and once more be able to buy some, but after recent events and the way SE treat their customers plus the lack of spec's for me that has become an increasingly difficult thing to do.

I moan because i am disappointed and unless we tell SE why we are discontented how are they going to improve? All this pretending the missing tech is not important and everything is rosy is not to anyone's advantage least of all SE's.

I also would like to point out very few if any of us actually come on here and immediately start slagging off or saying this or that SE device is rubbish. We react when others make absurd claims about how bad non SE devices are or just how superior SE devices are which are not backed up by facts. So many here rely on reviews of pre production units as to ho bad a device is they don't listen when it is explained why that opinion is no longer true but constantly repeat any snippet of criticism they can find as fact and then resort to name calling and lies to support there claims.

Ericsson where the best SE used to be but just because they are selling more doesn't equate to them being the best IMHO as otherwise you would all be forced to agree that Nokia is the best as they sell far more than SE. To put it into perspective many are getting excited that SE may sell 100 million devices this year, Nokia sell roughly that amount a quarter and even i don't think Nokia are 4 times as good as SE. Also where do you get this theory that selling more means better investment as the UIQ3 devices where all launched with SE sales reaching highs and their R&D investment in those devices was definitely lacking and hasn't been that good since release either especially with the announcement of ending support with less than a year old product so whilst what you say sounds good the reality doesn't seem to support your view.
